The zombies are grotesque, bloated caricatures of the former residents and wildlife, John can ride rotting mounts, and the surviving residents are eaten and dismembered amongst their last gasping screams. The whole ordeal is disturbing to the senses; watching your favourite characters get killed or turned undead is bru

That last point, in particular, is one of the most significant driving forces behind the story in Red Dead Redemption 2 , as the Van der Linde gang’s outlaw way of life quickly comes to a head against the advances of modern life and civilization. Taking place in 1899, the turn of the century and growing government intervention into the West has Dutch, Arthur, and the rest of the gang embark on a journey to seek refuge from the forces that are seeking to eradicate them entirely.

With that comes some of the most revolting acts ever committed in a video game, acts that burned their ways into gamers’ hearts and minds indefinitely. Some are visceral and bloody, some are dark and disturbing, and some will shake you down to the emotional core. Put down your Liars Dice and let’s find some pearls to clutch as we go through the Fifteen Most Revolting Acts Committed In Red Dead Redempt

Red Dead Redemption ’s Online component also set a new bar for sandbox multiplayer games. The ability to create and organize gangs as well as engage in intense shootouts with other skilled players set the framework for what would become GTA V ’s amazing multiplayer experience. And who could possibly forget the genre changing DLC expansion, Undead Nightmare , that turned to the American West into a zombie infested hell hole, complete with rideable demon hor

Rockstar has been creating sandbox style games for an extremely long time now. Since creating the hustle and bustle of Liberty City in GTA III, Rockstar has been releasing incredible maps for players to explore. While each map has gotten bigger and more detailed with each new sandbox game Rockstar released, they have yet to solve the problem of a structure standing perfectly fine after having a sticks of dynamite thrown at it. Destructible environments is a lot to ask for, so it would be unfair to expect an map to be completely destructible, but it’s time Rockstar started to add as much detail to building and environmental damage as they do to cars in in the GTA series. Besides, getting to blow a hole in the side of a bank or a jail to get inside or out would be a bl

One of the best examples of this deep sense of interaction with other characters and the environments comes from the Van der Linde gang’s camp, which shifts locations at various points in the story and provides players with a place to call home while out completing missions and exploring the world. Aside from giving the player a place to eat, sleep, and renew Arthur’s energy while out on his journey, the camp also provides ample opportunities to interact with the rest of the gang’s familiar faces — many of whom you’ll be going out on missions with — making it key to visit the camp every so often to see what sort of surprises may be in store there.

What makes the Wild West one of the best settings for a videogame is that there’s constant danger around every corner. Cowboys and pioneers had to be prepared for whatever the frontier threw at them. Not only were bandits and predators a threat, but the very land and weather itself. The American West is home to some of the United State’s most intense natural disasters. Tornadoes, sandstorms, mudslides, wildfires, flash floods, and even earthquakes could cause devastating amounts of damage in moments. If Red Dead Redemption 2 captures even one of these phenomena as a random encounter, it would completely change the way players would think about the map, knowing full well the ground below and the sky above them could kill them. Players might think twice about crossing Tornado Al

I hope you enjoyed my 25 Things We Wish We Knew Before Starting Red Dead Redemption 2 article, because I’m back with another. The marketing for a game starts the second it is announced. The job of marketing is to not only increase awareness of a title, but maintain hype through the game’s release. Shorter marketing cycles are typically more effective because they have a tighter focus. Red Dead Redemption 2 ’s marketing started in late 2016. While it is intermittent, this incredibly long cycle will likely see the game fall off some people’s radar for months before they suddenly remember that it exists. Rockstar is no stranger to long marketing cycles, but that doesn’t change the fact that it could still negatively impact the game’s sales. Red Dead simply isn’t as well known as GTA , so it needs every push it can get to take the gaming open world games guide by storm once ag

GameStop stated that the game’s delay would not affect the overall sale of video games in the fall. This could be because the impact of the game has already lessened, meaning that it wouldn’t have been the end-all game many are hyping it up to be. Instead, moving it to the beginning of the year simply moves it out of the way of potentially bigger titles that could steal its sales. The holiday season is incredibly important in the games industry because everyone wants the best new game as a gift. Rockstar could have realized that even that time of year wouldn’t have helped Red Dead in any real way, so moving the game’s release date at least moved it out of the way of other big play

Always start off by inviting your friends, whether they are real life or in-game friends. It can help you tilt less and have a different outlook for the game overall. Some of the veteran people in the game have an even more extensive knowledge regarding the game and they can then analyze each of your moves and help you improve your mistakes or improvise a situation gone wrong. This might not always work out since it can become a bit annoying for a veteran player to teach basic concepts to a newbie so in this case, find friends who are patient and willing enough to put up with you and train you to become a pro as it will help you learn about new builds, team fights and also to make a decision at crucial timi

Depends on what you choose to do, you can be an all-star, however, try to focus on one role to secure your knowledge of that particular task. Playing a dedicated role will improve your knowledge about the lane, how it works and when is the enemy approaching and at what cost. It also helps you to achieve a mastery over the champion and the lane as well. Once done right, you can outplay rather easy. East of McFarlane’s Ranch, John will come across a man making a bouquet for his wife. He isn’t satisfied with what he can find locally, but wonders if John can go and find some flowers for his dear wife. The delay of Red Dead Redemption did not come with new details on the game. Several new screenshots accompanied the news, but these do not make us less worried. All screenshots do is prove that the game still looks great. We don’t know how the game looks in action, though, which can be a worry. The delay may only be a few months, but news of a delay is rarely good news, as it means that the game in question is in a rough state. Showing cold, hard gameplay would appease the public’s fears of quality and get fans even more excited for the game when it finally released in 2018. Until then, all we can do is speculate about how Rockstar may have evolved the ser

Compared to the themes of revenge and justice that drove John Marston (and the player) throughout the story of Red Dead Redemption , the shift that Rockstar puts on to the Van der Linde gang as a whole places Red Dead Redemption 2 ‘s storytelling in a very different context, but one that is just as compelling and engaging as John’s hunt for the members of his former gang. Despite the fact that the game is a prequel, which gives players some sense of awareness as to the fates of certain characters such as John Marston, Dutch Van der Linde, Javier Escuela, Bill Williamson, and more, the story in Red Dead Redemption 2 — without getting too thick into the weeds of spoilers — takes so many twists, turns, and surprises that it holds its own in crafting an engaging tale with so many exceptional moments to enjoy.
