Twitch streamer Michael “Shroud” Grzesiek has been temporarily banned after playing **PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds ** with a hacker. The original stream is no longer available, but clips captured by fans continue to spread across social media. The video has reignited the ongoing debate among players about PUBG’s hacker problem. The community finds itself split on whether clips of top players working with hackers calls attention to flaws within the game or if the players are using their popularity to get away with cheat

As Fornite has grabbed headlines over the past few weeks with comet strikes and a dancing Thanos , it has sometimes been easy to forget that PUBG exists if you were to just follow the buzz. Keen to grab the limelight once more and taking yet another page from its rival, the grittier shooter is playing Fornite at its own game as PC users test out a new map with a hidden sec

The patch is among the game’s biggest updates, bringing a weapon balance overhaul and map selection to PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds . The update also adds a new muscle car to Miramar, and a new 7.62 DMR called the SLR. The new vehicle is exclusive to the Miramar map and can be found in downtown areas and on main city stre

PUBG is a flurry of activity at the moment with the various updates and weapon balances , however, is it a case of too little too late? Fortnite has been a literal powerhouse of late, meaning that even some of the most hardened PUBG players have jumped ship for the more colorful delights of Fornite . And there’s only more competition on the way with E3 2018 around the corner sure to debut multiple new battle royale experiences. Whether or not **PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds ** can be the goose that laid the golden crate remains to be seen, but one’s thing for sure, there’s gold in them thar hi

It’s also unclear how this ban will impact Shroud’s upcoming appearance on PUBG’s Squad Showdown on July 13, an event PUBG Corp is hosting with Twitch Prime in commemoration of Amazon’s Prime Day (Twitch is owned by Amazon). Shroud was slated to play in the showdown alongside several other top Twitch streamers, but this temporary ban may put a halt to t

According to Kotaku , Grzesiek has been given a month long ban due to a clip where he and fellow streamer Wadu were joined by a hacker. In the circulating video, the hacker sends cars flying around them, creating barriers, later using one of the cars to carry the duo to the next playzone. Grzesiek scores a kill after being alerted to another player hiding in a nearby house. At one point, he states “I’m getting banned,” not that the possibility appears to put a damper on his m

Taking all of this into account, it will be interesting to see if Bluehole Studio will be able to successfully implement a permanent Event Pass for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds thanks to the data and feedback it received during its initial limited-time launch. If it does get incorporated correctly down the line, the feature could give PUBG a better shot at expanding its current 400 million-plus player ba

It’s nice to see PUBG Mobile ‘s developers feed some new modes into the game as well as make adjustments and improvements. With a few smart gameplay tweaks compared to the main game, PUBG Mobile quickly became one of the more popular battle royale mobile games at launch. Maybe the main game can even learn a thing or two from its mobile counterp

In addition to some new modes, Update 0.4.0 brings a variety of gameplay adjustments to PUBG Mobile , pubgstation.com including combat optimization, vehicle improvements, voice chat optimization, and UI improvements. There have also been changes to the in-game s

The VSS and Mini14 were the only DMRs to get a damage buff, while the SKS actually got nerfed; DMRs will also now be harder to control because of vertical and horizontal recoil combined with a decrease in recoil recovery

The developers have also added a Training Grounds mode to PUBG Mobile . The Training Grounds mode is only available for solo players, allowing them to practice with weapons and items on their own before jumping into a match with oth

Several weeks ago, Bluehole Studio officially put out a fresh Event Pass feature to PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds , but due to a lot of bugs, extended maintenance periods, and general instability, not every PUBG fan has been able to fully use the limited-time feature. With this being the case, the video game developer has decided to announce a bonus XP event as an apology of sorts to those who haven’t been able to get their fill of the Event Pass due to errors on behalf of the stu

According to a recent post on PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds ‘ official Steam page, Bluehole Studio made sure to acknowledge its failings during the Event Pass’ availability by referring to all of the problems it encountered, and promised that “these issues will all be taken into consideration during future content planning.” The developer went on to thank players for their patience while working out the issues with the new system, and went on to announce the bonus XP event, saying, “But thanking you for your feedback and promising to improve in the future doesn’t help you finish your current pass, so we’ve decided to run an event to help players scrape out a few more levels before the Event Pass ends on 7/
